The following are additional events and activities that are available to our scouts via Council, or the City of Carrollton. This is a great place to look if your scout has special interests, missed an activity, or is looking for additional fun. These are not pack events and are not part of the yearly calendar of events. As these are optional non-pack events, any event costs are the responsibility of the participant, not the pack.

Range and Target Activities Day is an event for all Cub Scouts from Lions to Arrow of Light to come practice their shooting skills for belt loop achievement. Range and Target Activities for Cubs are BB guns, Archery, and Slingshots. This event is intended to advance Cub Scouts in their shooting skills. Targets will be graded on accuracy and improvement. Prospective Scouts (Grade 4 and 5 only): youth that have not registered Scouting America.
Prospective Scouts will have the option to join the event Saturday and participate in all activities. Due to Scouting America policy rules, youth interested in joining scouting are allowed to attend for the day but are not allowed to camp overnight.
Packs can sign up for time slots at each range. Individual rounds are 30 minutes each. Each round can hold up to 16 participants per range. Packs who want to do all three ranges will sign up for three separate time slots. There will be a limit of two back-to-back time slots per Pack.
There will be two timed sessions: 9am - 12pm and 1pm - 4pm. After 4pm will be open shoot, first come first served, for 1 hour. Packs can get more shooting time if your pack teaches the basics of shooting safety at their Pack meeting before the event. If Packs do not hold preliminary instruction, there will be mandatory instruction before any Cub can shoot.
OVERNIGHT CAMPING: Packs may camp overnight on Friday night only. They must provide their meals in their campsite.
PLEASE NOTE: Food will NOT be provided for participants except for concessions run by the Order of the Arrow, if available, and an ice cream social Saturday evening. Please plan to provide meals for your family or as a pack.

All YPT (Youth Protection Training) and cub camping rules per Scouting America policy must be followed at all times.
